FREMONT, Ohio (June 7, 2003) - Millersburg's Rob Chaney held off a hard-charging Lee Jacobs to score his first feature win of the season at Fremont Speedway.  Fostoria's Jamie Miller and Carey's Greg Summit picked up their second feature wins of the season in the 305 sprints and dirt trucks respectively.

Chaney led all 30 laps aboard the Stan Courtad 9x for the win, which was worth $3,500 thanks to a $1,000 bonus from race sponsor Crown Battery of Fremont.

"I really have to thank Stan Courtad...he's stuck with us all season and we've been struggling," said Chaney. "I was really bad on restarts, but once I got going the car was good."

Behind Chaney were Jacobs, Byron Reed, up from 11th, rookie Brock Mayes, up from 12th starting spot, and Phil Gressman.

Jamie Miller took the lead late in the 305 sprint feature from Chris Lang and took the win. Miller's motor blew up as he took the checkered flag. Behind Miller and Lang at the finish were Brian Sebetto, Chad Laux and Bill Kraylek.

Greg Summit edged Dwight Waltermeier by a nose at the checkered for the dirt truck win. Summit also earned an extra $1,000 bonus from Crown Battery as his #3x truck carried a Crown Battery sticker.

Behind Summit and Waltermeier were Bobby Davis, Andy Maynard and Brian Arnold.

Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, June 14 with Burger King Night for all three divisions. Also, Pepsi will present the second leg of the Buckeye Nationals on Thursday, June 19, featuring the wingless USAC sprints and midgets.
