Money for fans
and drivers at Fremont
By Brian Liskai
FREMONT, Ohio (Sept. 8, 2004) - Not only will the sprint car drivers
be running for a big payday Saturday, Sept. 11, at Fremont Speedway, but
thanks to the Bauman Auto Group, some lucky fans will go home with additional
loot!
Saturday's visit by the All Star Circuit of Champions will see a 50-lap
feature event paying $10,000 to win. The Bauman Auto Group is also paying
$200 to the fast qualifier. Also, Kear's Speed Shop and Fremont Speedway
are offering a $500 bonus to the feature winner if he is running Fremont
Speedway's Goodyear spec tire.
The Bauman Auto Group has also put together an $800 program for the
fans. Frisbees will be thrown to the fans before the 305 sprint feature.
Each frisbee has a car number on it. The top eight finishers' Frisbees
will be worth $100 each!
And for the kids 10 and under, Fremont Speedway and the Tackle Box
II will have 15 bikes to be given away.
Finally, when Fremont's John Ivy unloads his car, he claims the 2004
Fremont Speedway track championship, his third in the 410 sprints (2001,
2002 and 2004) and his fourth over all (he won the 1994 305 sprint title).
Gates open Saturday at 4:30 p.m. with racing at 8 p.m. The ticket prices
are $22 for adults; $17 for senior citizens; $11 for teens 11-16; and kids
10 and under are free. Pit passes are $27.
