FREMONT – The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced a one-month closure of two ramps at the U.S. 6/20/St. Rt. 53 interchange in Fremont.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 18, the following ramps will close during the ramps’ reconstruction and the installation of traffic signals at this location:

• The St. Rt. 53 entrance ramp to eastbound U.S. 6/20. Traffic will be detoured via northbound St. Rt. 53, westbound U.S. 6/20, the St. Rt. 19 interchange, and back to eastbound U.S. 6/20.

• The eastbound U.S. 6/20 exit ramp to S.R. 53. Traffic will be detoured via eastbound U.S. 6/20 to the U.S. 6 interchange, and westbound U.S. 6/20 back to S.R. 53.

One lane of traffic in each direction on S.R. 53 will be maintained. However, motorists may encounter delays during peak travel times. These ramps will reopen to traffic on Aug. 19, weather permitting.
