Fremont: ODOT Announces North Street Closure

Bowling Green – Ohio Department of Transportation District Deputy Director Todd Audet today announced a two week closure of North Street at the east side of the North Street/Rawson intersection in Fremont.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 29, North Street at the east side of the North Street/Rawson intersection will close during intersection reconstruction. Traffic will be detoured via Rawson, Haynes, and Port Clinton Road. This half of the North Street/Rawson intersection will reopen to traffic on September 13, weather permitting.

Traffic west of this intersection, for example traffic bound for the YMCA or the high school, will not be impacted at this time. Rawson will remain open to traffic during this North Street closure.

For ongoing construction information, ODOT's Ohio Transportation Information System (OTIS) can be accessed through the Internet. OTIS provides up to date construction information and reports of other major events that slow or detour traffic on Ohio's highways. OTIS is available through ODOT's Web page at:

Launched in June of 1998, OTIS also includes information regarding the impact of winter weather on road conditions.
