Fremont Speedway
to crown 2005 champions

FREMONT, Ohio (Oct. 4, 2005) - Fremont Speedway will wrap up its 54th
season on Saturday, Nov. 5 at its annual awards banquet at Ole Zim's Wagonshed,
located a couple of miles south of U.S. 20 on St. Rt. 590, west of Fremont.
The top 10 in points in all three divisions - 410 sprints, 305 sprints
and Coors Light Dirt Trucks - will share in a point fund. Drivers
or car owners need to be present to receive their point fund monies. The
Computer Man Dash point fund will pay out over $5,000 to the 305 sprints.
Doors will open at Ole Zim's at 5:30 p.m. with the family style dinner
to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets for the banquet are $25 each and can be purchased by sending
a check made out to Fremont Speedway. Send checks and the number of tickets
needed and a return address to: Fremont Speedway, 19101 Orchard Dr., Elmore,
Ohio 43416, or call 419-862-2206 and reserve your tickets for pick up at
the door (however, money needs to be sent ahead of time). Tickets will
also be available at the Racers' Flea Market to be held at the fairgrounds
Oct. 22 and 23.
The top 10 in the 410 sprint point standings were: 1. Mike Linder;
2. John Ivy; 3. Craig Mintz; 4. Bobby Clark; 5. Mark Keegan; 6. David Harrison;
7. Byron Reed; 8. Brandon Martin; 9. Brian Smith; and 10. Todd Heller.
The top 10 in the 305 sprint point standings were: 1. Paul Weaver;
2. Bryan Scott; 3. Andy Shammo; 4. Roger Shammo; 5. Bill Kraylek; 6. A.J.
Sleek; 7. Brad Bowman; 8. Daniel Smith; 9. Barry Cole; and 10, Kevin Lee.
The top 10 in the Coors Light Dirt Truck point standings were: 1. Bobby
Davis; 2. Steve Sabo; 3. Brian Arnold; 4. Dan Roepke; 5. Bob Dible; 6.
Art Howey Jr.; 7. Jim Welty; 8. Ron Kepling; 9. Dwight Waltermeier; 10.
Andy Maynard.
Other awards such as Rookies of the Year will also be presented.
