Rain claims Fremont All Stars

FREMONT, Ohio (May 25) - For the third time this season, rain was the winner at Fremont Speedway. It was also the second rain out for the All Star Circuit of Champions at "The Track That Action Built."

The All Stars will make up the show on Saturday, June 8, paying $5,000 to win. The Budweiser 40 scheduled for May 25, will be moved to the Tuesday, July 2 All Star Ohio Sprint Speedweek show at Fremont, paying $6,000 to win and $500 to start. Then on Thursday, July 4, the speedweek show sponsored by Miller Beer will also pay $6,000 to win and $500 to start.

In a related development dealing with the All Star Sprint Speedweek, June 30 through July 6, a chartered bus is available from Fremont Speedway for fans to travel to the Wednesday, July 3 show at KC Raceway near Chillocothe. The cost is $22 per person plus admission to the race.
