FREMONT, Ohio (Tuesday, May 23, 2006) - Mark Wilkins, driver of the #157 Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 sprint car, is expecting to go home soon to recouperate from injuries he sustained in a crash Saturday, May 20, at Fremont Speedway.
 
Wilkins was taken from the track to Fremont Memorial Hospital and later transported to the Medical University of Ohio in Toledo where he was dianosed as having suffered a fracture of the T-6 vertebra. He has been fitted with a back and front brace.
