Kistler Racing Products Returns As Title Sponsor of the Fremont/Attica Sprint Title
MAUMEE, OH (1-20-2011) by Scott Porter - F.A.S.T. Public Relations
The Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) Series is pleased to announce that Paul Kistler, owner of Kistler Engines and Kistler Racing Products in Erlin, Ohio, has agreed to return as the championship series' title sponsor for the 2012 racing season. This marks the fourth consecutive year for the F.A.S.T. Championship Series to carry the Kistler Racing Products speed shop brand at Fremont Speedway and Attica Raceway Park.
"This concept is something this area really needed," said Paul Kistler. "It helps out these racers and it promotes sprint car racing in Northern Ohio on a national level. We are proud to be a part of this series and be able to give something back to our customers. The F.A.S.T. Series has grown into something much larger than we expected in just four short years."
The 2011 F.A.S.T. season saw Bryan Sebetto sweep the last three events and hoist the Kistler Cup championship trophy in Engine Pro Victory Lane and the claim the big $10,000 championship check. It was the closest finish in the series' young history as wily veteran Dean Jacobs finished just 27-points back and 2010 F.A.S.T. Champion Byron Reed finished just 62 points back in third place. The chase for the 2012 Kistler Cup is set to begin in April as the 410 sprint cars are slated to run 20 F.A.S.T. points events over the course of the season.
The F.A.S.T. Championship Series continues to grow, but stays true to its vision of helping out the local drivers and teams that compete weekly in the sprint car divisions at Fremont and Attica in Northern Ohio. Over the course of three years the FAST On Dirt, Inc. (parent company of F.A.S.T.) has handed out over $100,000 in cash and contingency prizes plus several thousand more dollars worth of discount certificates to race part manufacturers.
"Its hard to believe we are looking ahead to our 4th season," said F.A.S.T. organizer Bryan Autullo. "When Scott, Chris, and I put this idea together at the end of 2008, we didn't know if it was going to fly. With Paul Kistler believing in our concept and lending his name to this organization as our title sponsor, it put us on the map. It has been a win/win relationship ever since and we're able to do some things that we didn't even know were possible in the beginning."
With the amount of money the series pays out in cash and prizes, and with the bonus money and increased purse payouts at select events throughout the season, the F.A.S.T. Series can boast the highest paying local 410 racing between Knoxville and Williams Grove. Both Fremont Speedway and Attica Raceway Park have gotten behind this series to find ways to increase the point fund and to pay additional money on certain nights. The entire concept has become a team effort from the start.
"Having Paul Kistler, Brian Kemenah, and Dave Deyo on our team has really made the series into what we envisioned in 2008," commented Chris Kettman of the F.A.S.T. organization. "Going into our 4th season, its a pleasure to once again have these guys on board with us and helping out the local race teams. We've accomplished everything we set out to do and its only going to get bigger and better with guys like this in our corner. We're looking forward to the future of FAST."
Kistler Racing Products has helped bring more sponsorship to the series by spreading the word about what has been happening in Northern Ohio to their suppliers. Several more companies have jumped on the F.A.S.T. bandwagon through their relationship with Paul, Brian, and Dave. Not only is the series organization grateful, but it all eventually trickles down to the race teams who benefit from the cash and prizes set forth by all of the people involved. The manufacturers, the sponsors, the promoters, and the media all have a part in this from top to bottom.
"The guys from FAST really do more than just advertise for us," stated Dave Deyo of Kistler Racing Products. "They are always there to help us with whatever we need from our web site to print ad designs to video projects. They are great guys to work with and we look forward to continuing our relationship in 2012."
