Fremont/Attica Sprint Title To Require Driver Memberships For 2012 Season

MAUMEE, OH (2-27-11) by Bryan Autullo - F.A.S.T. Public Relations

The Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) presented by Engine Pro and KS Sales & Service will require that all competitors wishing to receive points towards the 2012 championship point fund will need to purchase a membership. This membership fee applies to 410 sprint car drivers as well as 305 sprint car drivers wishing to compete in the revived F.A.S.T. 305 Championship Series.

The Fremont/Attica Sprint Title will once again pay $10,000 to the champion at season's end. The point fund for the 305 series is growing and the 305 champion will take home a minimum of $1,000, but plans are underway to try to double that amount. Both divisions will pay back through the Top-10 spots as done in the past.

Membership fees will be used to fund operating costs for the FAST On Dirt, Inc. organization for items such as decals, banners, merchandise, advertising, and printing costs during the 2012 race season. In past years, these costs have been absorbed by the series and essentially came out of the driver's point fund at the end of the season. As an organization it makes more sense to have those funds available at the beginning of the season as opposed to the end in order to utilize those funds to pay for necessary items as the need arises.

Memberships will cost the 410 sprint car drivers $100.00 for the season and will cost $50.00 for the 305 sprint car drivers. In an effort to give each driver something in return for their paid membership, the F.A.S.T. Series organizers have worked out a deal with title sponsor Paul Kistler of Kistler Racing Products to provide a $50.00 gift card to each F.A.S.T. Series member in either division.

"Once again Paul, Dave, and Brian have stepped up to the plate to support these local teams and our series by providing these membership benefits," said Scott Porter of the F.A.S.T. organization. "It was our intent to give everyone something in return for buying a membership and Kistler Racing Products made sure it was something everyone can use to go fast this season."

The gift card can be used at Kistler Racing Products on any “cash and carry” purchase and cannot be used to pay for credit purchases. The 410 sprint car members will also receive additional certificates for parts and discounts from other series sponsors equaling or exceeding their investment.

Membership forms will be available starting Saturday, February 25th at the Fremont Racer’s Swap Meet and also at the Racer’s Chili Challenge later that afternoon at the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame (Sandusky County Fairgrounds). Forms can also be downloaded on the F.A.S.T. Series web site at www.fastondirt.com.
