Inside Line Promotions – FREMONT, Ohio (May 19, 2015) – Dale Blaney will return to UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions action this weekend following a pair of top 10s in Ohio.

Blaney and the CH Motorsports team backed by Mainstream Holdings, Inc., will compete this Friday at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Ind., before wrapping up the weekend on Saturday and Sunday at Fremont Speedway.

“We just want to run consistently,” said Blaney, who leads the championship standings entering the tripleheader. “I know what we’re going to get at Fremont, but Plymouth will be fun. It’s always fun to go to a new place. It’s small and I’ve heard it’s racy. Hopefully we can go win a couple of races and gain some points.”

Blaney is coming off a strong weekend in his home state, where he kicked off the action last Friday by charging from fifth to second place during a F.A.S.T. Series heat race at Attica Raceway Park in Attica. That locked him into the feature redraw where he pulled the No. 2 to garner a starting spot on the outside of the front row for the main event.

Blaney powered the Mainstream Holdings, Inc., car into the lead on the opening lap before he lost a position during the ensuing lap.

“I wasn’t real good the first half of the race,” he said. “The track was pretty fast. In the middle stage of the race I felt like I was better than (the leader) in turns three and four and he was better in turns one and two. I couldn’t get a run on him off turn two. He ran a good race and lapped traffic never came into play.”

Blaney was unable to make a move and he settled for a second-place result.

“I got around his right rear a couple of times in turn four, but I wasn’t in position to shove it between him and the guardrail on the front straightaway,” he said. “It was a decent night for us, but not what we were hoping starting second.”

The CH Motorsports team wrapped up the weekend on Saturday at Fremont Speedway with the F.A.S.T. Series.

“It was kind of an odd-ball night,” Blaney said. “We got in a squirmish in hot laps and had to change some things around. Then we set quick time in qualifying. We struggled bad in the heat race and struggled in the B Main so we went back to what we know. I was really good in the A Main.”

Blaney, who opened the night by qualifying quickest, placed fifth in a heat race and second in the B Main. That started him on the inside of the sixth row for the main event.

“As I got to fourth going down the back straightaway Dean Jacobs was running third,” he said. “I just made a bad mistake. He was running the bottom and I was running the bottom behind him. I went to chop around his right rear and didn’t time it very good. I clipped his bumper just enough to spin him and spin myself.”

The incident with 11 laps remaining moved Blaney to the back of the field for the restart. He rallied to record a 10th-place finish.
