FREMONT, Ohio – The high quality finishes continue to rack up this season for Bellevue, Ohio driver Cap Henry. Following another top-five performance at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, he’s now made all 16 main events he’s attempted, with 12 of those races culminating in top-tens. Bolstered by finishing all 16 of those races, it’s no surprise Henry sits second in Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Series points thus far.

Kicking the night off at Fremont, Henry’s qualifying time wasn’t the fastest, but his 13.188-second lap was still sufficient for 14th-quick, getting him in the heat race invert. Starting from second in that race, he wasn’t quite able to capture the lead, but taking second still left him plenty of breathing room for getting into the main event.

The racing surface for the 30-lapper was as usual: extremely slick, with lap times falling into the 17-second bracket nearing its end. Going tenth on the grid, Henry drove to the eighth position early, but fell to ninth just before the lone caution of the event emerged with six laps complete. Continuing to gain position following the restart, he was working to pass for the sixth position as the crossed flags were displayed, signaling the race was half over. Completing the move on that lap, he needed to pass one more to get into the top five. In the waning laps, Henry caught fifth and powered by to earn the fifth-place finish.

Henry would like to thank Level Performance, J&J Auto Racing, OC Shocks, FK Rod Ends, Simpson Race Products, Keizer Wheels, Wings Unlimited, HMS Speedways & Hobbies, Handy Grafix, and Kear's Speed Shop as well as his family, the Genzman team, and all of his great fans for their continued support.

Henry is next scheduled to compete in six of the nine All Star Circuit of Champions Ohio Sprint Speedweek events over the next two weeks. The tracks include Attica Raceway Park on June 19, Waynesfield Raceway Park on June 21, Sharon Speedway on June 23, Fremont Speedway on June 25, Limaland Motorsports Park on June 26, and Fremont Speedway again on June 27, all in the Genzman Racing Enterprises No. 53 410ci winged sprint entry.
