Adams Making Big Strides During Rookie Sprint Car Season

Inside Line Promotions – FREMONT, Ohio (April 25, 2017) – Justin Adams continues to learn and make huge strides throughout his rookie season of 305ci winged sprint car racing.

In back-to-back weeks, Adams, who celebrated his birthday last week, nearly raced his way into the A Main at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. He placed sixth in the B Main to miss a transfer by only one position last Saturday for the second straight week.

Adams began the year opting to start last in each race as he learned the ropes. On Friday at Attica Raceway Park, he drew a pill and started in his proper position. After an adventurous heat race that resulted in an eighth-place finish, Adams drove to a sixth-place result in the B Main.

“It’s hard being one of the new kids out there,” he said. “But everyone has been so nice and helpful and I’m learning a lot. I thought I had that final transfer spot.”

The weekend concluded on Saturday, when Adams made his debut at Fremont Speedway. After choosing to start at the tail of his heat race, he advanced two positions and drove to a seventh-place finish. Adams closed the night with a 10th-place result in the B Main.

“Fremont is a lot narrower than Attica,” he said. “You have to drive it completely different. Alvin Roepke offered to let me follow him, but we didn’t get out in the same hot-lap session. It was a frustrating weekend, but we are learning and I’m getting more comfortable.

“We got our engine problems fixed and we had some new people join our team. Pat Harger and Bobby Sears are helping us. They have a lot of experience working on sprint cars. I’m very excited about direction of our team.”

Adams is scheduled to compete this Friday at Attica Raceway Park and Saturday at Fremont Speedway.
