Inside Line Promotions – FREMONT, Ohio (May 22, 2019) – Greg Wilson powered from 18th to a seventh-place outing last Friday at Attica Raceway Park, where he made only his second start in the last month.

Wet weather once again hampered the weekend for Wilson and his Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics and Gear Off Road sponsored team as a trio of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions races in Wisconsin rained out. Fortunately, Wilson found an opportunity to compete in his home state during an AFCS Series doubleheader.

“We’re lucky we were able to get some laps in,” he said. “Although we had a great rally on Friday, the goal of the weekend was to learn and make more headway on improving the changes we’ve made to our race car recently.”

Wilson improved throughout Friday night by overcoming a 23rd place qualifying run at the oval in Attica, Ohio. He advanced from fifth to fourth place in a heat race and from third to second in a B Main to earn a transfer into the main event. Wilson capped the night by charging to his fourth top 10 of the season.

“Attica Raceway Park is a home track for us and we have a lot of laps there,” he said. “It gives us a lot of confidence to be able to move forward and it shows that some of the changes we’re making to our program are positive. It was certainly a step in the right direction.”

Friday was the highlight of the weekend as it preceded a tough outing at Fremont Speedway. Wilson rallied from eighth to fifth place in a heat race, which narrowly missed a lock-in spot into the main event on Saturday. An eighth-place finish in a B Main wrapped up the night.

Wilson is slated to return to All Star action with a tripleheader this weekend. It begins on Friday at Attica Raceway Park. Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, hosts a show on Saturday before Fremont Speedway concludes the holiday weekend on Sunday.

“I think last weekend should help us this weekend at Attica and Fremont, and we always enjoy heading to Wayne County,” he said. “With all the weather we’ve battled this year our fingers are crossed we can get some racing in to continue to learn this car.”
