Inside Line Promotions – FREMONT, Ohio (Aug. 20, 2020) – Greg Wilson secured his 10th top-five outing of the season last Saturday when he invaded Fremont Speedway.

Wilson debuted his new Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics, DNC Hydraulics and Gear Off Road sponsored sprint car during the local event, which presented an opportunity to get the car dialed in before Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions competition resumes this weekend.

“We were debating on what we were going to do,” he said. “We finished up the car about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The plan was to try to race somewhere. Fremont is 40 minutes from the shop and the weather looked the best. It turned out to be a decent night.

“We had the new car blues in hot laps and qualifying, but we got that fixed.”

Wilson qualified 14th quickest, but he won a heat race to put himself in a great position for the A Main. He lined up fourth and battled for a podium throughout the feature before ending third.

“It’s always good to have good runs,” he said. “That helps with confidence. It was good to get the bugs worked out of the car and not have any issues once we got past qualifying. We were very competitive so mission accomplished.”

Wilson will race with the All Stars this Friday at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis., and Saturday at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Ind.

“I really enjoy both of those places,” he said. “Wilmot is one of my favorite tracks. We’ve ran pretty darn well at Plymouth, too. It will be fun to get back to a couple of bullrings.”
