Inside Line Promotions – BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (Oct. 7, 2020) – The 2020 Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 season concludes this weekend with the Jim Ford Classic at Fremont Speedway.

That’s good news for Greg Wilson, who enters the two-day show running Friday and Saturday at the dirt oval in Fremont, Ohio, ranked sixth in the championship standings. Wilson and his Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics, DNC Hydraulics and Gear Off Road sponsored team have plenty of experience at the track.

“The last month or month and a half of racing has been very frustrating,” he said. “I’m excited to go back because we have completely regrouped. I don’t know if it will be better or not, but for the first time in a couple of months we’ve changed enough stuff we should see a difference.”

Wilson earned a pair of top 10s, including a fourth-place run, at the track in July and he added a third-place outing in August.

“Over the years we’ve had a lot of success there,” he said. “We grew up racing there. It’s nice racing in your backyard, in a place you’re familiar with. It’s been good to be home recently and in my shop and in turn go to a place we’re familiar with. It gives you some extra confidence that if we have our stuff together we have a very good chance of having a couple of good nights of racing. I feel like the stuff we’ve found and went through the last two weeks, something will be different. I’m pretty excited.”

Wilson’s track record has been stellar at Fremont Speedway. He was last victorious at the track in 2015 and he scored two wins in 2013 and two in 2011. In fact, Wilson has 18 top fives and 35 top 10s in 46 races at Fremont Speedway since the start of the 2011 season.

“Throughout the years when I’ve went to Fremont I’ve always had really good guys helping me,” he said. “Also, I feel like Fremont is a track that by the end of the night it becomes a driver’s and a mechanic’s track. I’ve always felt like those are situations that we are strong at. Fremont fits all of that.”

Wilson’s first win at the track came in 1997. He also has victories there in 2000, 2005, 2006 and twice in 2008.
