Ryan Timms

Runner-up finish in 410 at Attica Raceway Park

Ryan Timms was back behind the wheel of his CitGard Engine Oils No. 5T Sprint Car at Attica Raceway Park (Attica, Ohio) for the $4,000 prize. Drawing 33 Callie’s Performance Products 410 Sprints, Ryan clocked in eighth-fastest in time trials before capturing a heat race victory. Rolling off on the front row for the feature, Timms paced the field laps 1-28 but was unable to hold off Trey Jacobs in the closing circuits, marking him second when the checkered flag flew. Cole Macedo rounded out the podium. (DB3 Inc photo)

Making his first-ever start at Fremont Speedway (Fremont, Ohio) on Saturday, Timms secured his spot into the AFCS Sprint Series-sanctioned feature with a heat race victory. Inching forward three spots in the 30-lap affair, Ryan notched a fourth-place finish. He trailed Cole Macedo, Chris Andrews, and Emerson Axson to the checkers with Craig Mintz coming in fifth.

Sunday’s scheduled stop at BAPS Motor Speedway (York Haven, Pa.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
