Inside Line Promotions – HARTFORD, Ohio (June 15, 2022) – Greg Wilson recorded a pair of top 10s during the first half of the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions Ohio Sprint Speedweek.

Wilson and the Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics and DNC Hydraulics sponsored Seeling Motorsports machine rallied from 22nd to seventh last Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, before advancing a handful of positions on Saturday at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, to finish eighth.

“I feel like at Attica and Fremont we as a team can be pretty good,” he said. “When we’re really good we’ll have a shot to win races at those places. I felt like we were okay, but like I told Andy (Potter) after the races both nights I don’t feel like we’re as good as we were. I’m glad we had those good runs to kick off Speedweek, but I feel like that’s expected there.”

Wilson qualified 17th quickest overall before placing sixth in a heat race at Attica Raceway Park. He then maneuvered from fourth to second place in the B Main before gaining 15 positions – the second most of any driver – during the A Main.

Wilson timed in sixth quickest overall on Saturday at Fremont Speedway, where he picked up two positions in a heat race to finish third. The night ended with a run from 12th to eighth in the feature.

The team returned to the track on Sunday. Wilson qualified seventh quickest before advancing from fifth to fourth in a heat race and from 15th to 14th in the main event.

Wilson ventured to Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, on Monday. He qualified 32nd overall and was seventh in a heat race, which buried him in the B Main. However, the team came alive later in the racing program as Wilson rallied from 11th to fourth in the consolation race before hustling from 24th to 14th in the main event. The 10 positions gained were the third most.

The midpoint of Ohio Sprint Speedweek was Tuesday at Sharon Speedway, where Wilson had his toughest outing with a 12th-place result in the B Main.

“We improved every night except last night,” he said. “Sunday at Fremont was a bit of a struggle, which kind of surprised me. We were okay, but not how we normally are at Fremont. At Wayne County we were really competitive, which we’ve been competitive the last few times we’ve been there. Last night for whatever reason, if it’s the car or my style or both, our car didn’t feel comfortable or have good attitude.”

The remaining Ohio Sprint Speedweek races are Wednesday at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio; Thursday at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio; Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio; and Saturday at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio.

“As a whole I’m hoping we can leave tonight with a little confidence the other way,” he said. “When you are prepared and ready and things go your way Speedweek is a lot of fun. I feel we’re floating in the middle. We’re on the verge of being competitive and on the verge of being bad. Speedweek can do that to you either way. I feel if we can get things righted I can win a race and put our car up front. But we have to get the ship righted here and try to sort out what’s happening.”
