Inside Line Promotions – FREMONT, Ohio (July 26, 2022) – Greg Wilson characterized last weekend as ‘mediocre’ for the Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics and DNC Hydraulics backed Seeling Motorsports team.

Wilson placed 13th on Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, before enduring a DNF on Saturday at Fremont Speedway during a weekend with the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series presented by the Baumann Auto Group.

The action began on Friday with Wilson timing in 24th quickest overall and seventh in his group. He then rallied from seventh to fourth place in a heat race to lock into the 15th starting position in the A Main.

“At Attica we just kind of struggled with the race track,” he said. “It was really dusty and dirty. We were just mediocre. We’ve been going to the weekly shows and trying some stuff to help ourselves a little bit. We just couldn’t make a lot of progress.”

The team took a 13th-place result and moved on to Fremont Speedway on Saturday. Wilson qualified fifth quickest overall and second in his group. A fourth-place finish in a heat race started him 12th in the feature.

“The track was not like a typical Fremont,” he said. “We timed in pretty well overall, which we were happy with that. I felt like we were pretty decent, but there wasn’t a lot of passing in the heat races. We made it out of our heat. For the way the track was we were pretty good in the feature. We passed a few cars right away to get to eighth and then on an early restart we were in a wreck.

“It was one of those weekends that it was what it was. I’m glad we didn’t get torn up worse than we did. We threw some of that out the window because we probably won’t see Fremont like that ever again.”

Wilson plans to compete this Friday at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., and Saturday at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio.

“There’s a big show at Lernerville coming up so we want to get better there and we haven’t been great at Sharon so we need more laps there,” he said. “Hopefully we can put together two strong nights this weekend.”
